Terms of Use
1. What StudyTools is
StudyTools is a study workspace for students. It offers an AI tutor, an exam question solver, a notes summarizer, a citation generator, a flashcard maker, grade and GPA calculators, a study schedule planner, a focus timer and study guides. The tools work in your browser and, for AI features, on our servers.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the AI tools and to keep your work between devices. You are responsible for the password and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@studytools.pro if you think someone else has access to it. You must be old enough to hold a PayPal account in your country to buy Pro.
3. Free plan and Pro subscription
Free: no payment details required, with a daily allowance of AI requests. Pro Monthly: 3.99 EUR per month. Pro Yearly: 29.99 EUR per year. Payments are processed by PayPal, we never see or store your card number. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Pro access starts as soon as PayPal confirms the payment and is tied to the StudyTools account you were signed in with. If you pay while signed out, sign in with the same account and Pro activates automatically.
4. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time from your PayPal account: Payments, Manage automatic payments, cancel StudyTools. You keep Pro until the end of the period already paid for and are not charged again. If a payment fails, the subscription may be suspended and Pro paused until billing is fixed. If you were charged and Pro did not activate, write to us and we will fix it the same day. Refunds are available within 14 days of a payment at support@studytools.pro.
5. Acceptable use
- Use StudyTools to understand material, not to pass off generated work as your own.
- Do not use the site for illegal activity, harassment, or to attack the service.
- Do not try to break the limits, scrape the site at scale, or resell access.
- No guarantee of uptime. We aim for high availability and fix problems as fast as we can.
6. AI output and accuracy
Our AI features are study aids, not authorities. They can be wrong and sometimes invent facts or citations. Always check the output against your course material before relying on it, and never treat a generated citation as verified without checking the source exists. Your school decides what AI use is allowed; you are responsible for following its rules.
7. Your content and data
You keep ownership of what you type in. We process it only to generate the answer you asked for. Saved items in your account are yours and can be deleted from your dashboard at any time. We do not sell personal data. See the privacy notice for details.
8. Availability and changes
Tools change as we improve the product. If a Pro feature is retired, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it goes away. If we ever discontinue Pro entirely, we will refund the remaining period.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, StudyTools is provided as is and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
